uhmm, it's hard to explain the MAJOR SPOILERS on the last dungeon but well, this is the most sad part if you a big fan of Asch.....

Asch is dead when fighting the replicas of Oracle Knights at Eldrant. He's stabbed with many swords by the replica soldiers. Even at last he's managed to kill all the soldiers, but he couldn't hold it any longer so...yeah, he died...and somehow his soul went through Luke's body so Luke can use a second-order hyperresonance, a stronger hyperresonance than he and Luke used before.

If you a kind of sensitive person and can't stand to watch the death of Asch...better not to watch it or you'll be ended up like me (cries all over when watching it )

this is the spoilers for the ending event
Actually this event is a sad or not depends on your point of view. The ending will show us that Luke stayed in Eldrant to free Lorelei while the others escaped. While releasing Lorelei, the Eldrant started to collapse. Then, from the top, Luke saw Asch's deadbody fell (and thanks God Luke got him on his arms~!!). I don't quite understand what happened after that but I saw Asch's hand is moved a little when Luke's body is shining (is that mean that Luke is going to disappear?).
Well, anyway...I can promise you that Luke is not die. He'll come back to Tear on the event after the Staff Roll...I dunno whether it is really Luke or not...in my theory, Luke and Asch is combine into one person....aww, whatever, at least this game has a "happy" ending XP
